Credit Policy
TaskTango connects local service professionals with homeowners who are actively looking for help with a project. We are a lead aggregation and matching service. We are not a party to any agreement between a homeowner and a professional, and we do not guarantee that any lead will result in a sale, a signed job, or a completed project.
Because of that, our credit policy is built around one question: was the lead itself defective, or did the opportunity simply not convert? We only issue credits for the first.
Eligible for a credit
You may request a credit within 72 hours of unlocking a lead if:
- · Invalid contact information — the phone number is disconnected, non-existent, or the email hard-bounces, and you can't reach the homeowner through any contact method provided.
- · Duplicate submission — you already paid for and unlocked the same project from the same homeowner.
- · Outside your service area — the ZIP code or city falls outside the service area you have on file with TaskTango at the time the lead was sent.
- · Wrong category — the project clearly does not match the service category the lead was posted under (for example, a plumbing repair posted as landscaping).
- · Homeowner denies submitting the request — the homeowner confirms to TaskTango they did not submit the request or did not consent to being contacted.
Not eligible for a credit
TaskTango is a lead aggregator. We generate and deliver qualified opportunities — we do not close jobs for you, and closing the job is your responsibility as the business owner. The following do not qualify for a credit:
- · The homeowner didn't answer, didn't respond, or went with another professional.
- · The homeowner's stated budget didn't match what you needed to charge to do the work.
- · You couldn't reach an agreement on price, scope, or timeline.
- · The homeowner changed their mind or decided not to move forward with the project at all.
- · You were unhappy with how the conversation or sales process went.
- · The lead was a legitimate, in-area, correctly-categorized project, but you simply weren't the professional selected.
- · You didn't attempt to contact the homeowner within a reasonable window.
- · General dissatisfaction with lead quality or conversion rate over time (see below for the right way to address that).
How to request a credit
- Go to the lead in My Leads and select Report an issue.
- Choose the reason that matches your situation and add any relevant details.
- Our team reviews submissions within 2 business days. We may contact the homeowner to verify.
- If approved, the lead cost is credited back to your account balance — not refunded to your original payment method.
If your conversion rate feels low
If you're consistently unlocking leads that don't convert, that's worth addressing — but it's a service-area, category, or pricing/response-time conversation, not a per-lead credit issue. Reach out to support and we'll review your targeting, response speed, and profile completeness together.
Abuse of this policy
Accounts that submit repeated, unsupported, or bad-faith credit requests may be reviewed and, at TaskTango's discretion, limited or suspended from further participation.
