How much do I pay for leads?

On TaskTango you pay per unlocked lead — a homeowner who submitted a real project request in your category and service area. You always see the price before you spend anything.

What determines the cost of a lead

Our goal is for the price to track how valuable the job is likely to be. Prices vary because job value varies. The main factors:

  • · Category and job size — a full roof replacement is priced differently than a gutter cleaning.
  • · Exclusivity — shared leads go to up to 4 pros and cost less; exclusive leads go to you alone and cost more.
  • · Market demand — how many homeowners are requesting that service in your area right now.
  • · Pro supply — how many qualified professionals cover the same ZIP codes.
  • · Signal quality — leads with a verified phone number, photos, and a firm timeline are priced higher than thin ones.

How to set your lead prices

You decide how competitive you want to be. Your settings control which opportunities reach you and what you pay when you unlock one.

  1. 1Open your Pro dashboard and go to the Billing tab.
  2. 2Set a weekly spend cap so you never exceed your budget.
  3. 3Turn on auto-reload if you want your balance topped up automatically when it runs low.
  4. 4Adjust your service area and categories so you only see jobs you actually want.
  5. 5Save your changes — new pricing applies to the next lead you unlock.

Need a break? Use Pause lead delivery in Billing to stop new opportunities without closing your account.

Check the cost before you unlock

Every opportunity shows its price upfront. Reviewing project details is always free — you only pay when you choose to unlock the homeowner's contact information.

  1. 1Go to the Opportunities feed in your Pro dashboard.
  2. 2Open the project you're interested in.
  3. 3Review the category, general location, timeline, budget range, and photos.
  4. 4Find the lead price on the unlock button.
  5. 5Unlock only if the job fits — the charge applies at that moment.

Track how much you've paid

You can see what you've spent in two places:

  • · Billing tab — a running transaction history of every unlock, credit, and reload, with your current balance and weekly cap usage.
  • · My leads tab — the exact amount paid on each individual lead, shown next to the homeowner's contact details.

If a lead was objectively defective, you can request a credit from the lead card. See the credit policy for what qualifies.
