Privacy Policy

Project information. The answers you give in a request form: service category, project description, timeline, budget range, photos you choose to upload, and the ZIP code, city and state of the property.

Contact information. Your name, phone number and email address.

Account information. If you create an account, your email address, a securely hashed password (or a Google sign-in identifier) and your display name.

Technical information. Standard server and device data such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed, used to keep the service running and secure.

• To match your request with service professionals who serve your ZIP code and offer that service.
• To let you view your requests and any responses in your account.
• To send you transactional messages about your requests and, where you opted in, waitlist updates.
• To investigate lead-quality disputes, fraud and misuse of the marketplace.
• To measure and improve how the marketplace works.

Professionals who serve your area can see a summary of your project — category, description, timeline, budget range, photos, and the city and ZIP code — before they take the request.

Your name, phone number and email address are released only to professionals who take on your request, up to a maximum of four per shared request. Once released, that professional holds your contact details as an independent business and their own privacy practices apply to it.

We do not sell your personal information to unrelated advertisers or data brokers.

We use service providers to host the site, store data, send email and process payments from professionals. They may process your information only on our instructions. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users of the marketplace.

By submitting a request you agree that matched professionals may contact you by phone, text or email about that project. Consent is not a condition of purchase, and message and data rates may apply. You can ask any professional to stop contacting you at any time, and you can unsubscribe from TaskTango marketing email using the link in any such message.

We keep request records for as long as needed to run the marketplace, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Account information is kept until you ask us to delete your account.

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing support@tasktango.com. We cannot recall information already released to a professional who took your request — contact that business directly for deletion on their side. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

TaskTango is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
